What the Danish Working Time Act requires
Since 1 July 2024 every employer in Denmark must have a system that records employees’ daily working time. Records must be reliable, kept for five years and accessible to employees.
For companies with people on many addresses this is hard with paper, spreadsheets or apps people forget to use. IFAPP records time from presence – without workers doing anything.
We are not lawyers. Always check your own obligations, for example with your employers’ association.
How presence becomes timesheets
- 01
The worker arrives
The tag is detected by the tracker on site or in the van. Arrival time is recorded.
- 02
Time is counted
Time on site and driving time are kept separate. Deviations from the schedule are flagged.
- 03
Timesheets and export
Timesheets per worker and site – ready for payroll or invoicing. Export to Excel.
What does unrecorded time cost?
Just 15 minutes a day per worker quickly adds up to many hours a year.
Estimate based only on the values you entered. Not a guaranteed saving. The IFAPP price covers the subscription for all vehicles, workers and tools; hardware and onboarding come on top.
Questions about time registration
Do workers have to do anything?
No. They just carry their tag. Registration happens automatically near a tracker on site or in the van.
Is it surveillance?
IFAPP records presence at your trackers – on sites and in vans – not workers’ movements in their free time. Workers must be informed in advance. See our GDPR page.
